Pastor Bonnie Hunter answered the call of God after serving faithfully for 20 years, at the Greater Friendship Church, under the awesome leadership of Bishop Zenobie Davis, her pastor and father.
In May 1995, the Lord led Pastor Hunter to start a neighborhood bible study group on Saturdays in her home. Waiting on the timing of God, she remained faithful in her father’s ministry until he retired, due to health problems. The church eventually ended; then the Lord told her it was her time. Shortly, thereafter, with much prayer and consultation with her pastor, she launched out to plant a church. She sought the Lord for a name, and He told her to “take the spirit of your father”. She named the church “Friendship Church Outreach Ministry, Inc” (FCOM). She went out like Abraham, not knowing who would go with her or where to go, but the Lord was faithful who called her.
